Pros

Positive company, Commissions great, Cares about there communities, Is very resident focused. Any issues or answers you need they will find a way to get to you. Will actually train Good benefits amazing at responding to emails Good at making it fun Beautiful communities

Cons

A lot of switching of how to client focus and reach out to prospects Pays Average.. (they should pay more hourly for how much work leasing has to do daily. ). Daily color themed days all the time. Is always most. Should be more flexible on choice to when wear the colors of day. - or give money to get those colors Can feel a little over worked

Hello! It’s true – our residents are our top priority. Their unique experience with Cortland is what has allowed us to become a leader in the multifamily industry! Our amazing onsite associates like you continue to provide an unparalleled living experience, which can sometimes mean longer days. However, we do believe providing our associates with a great professional know-how is also essential to our success as a company. Training Cortlandians to be better at their jobs, offering great benefits, and doing it all while having fun is what we’re about! We also value ideas and opinions from our associates to help us improve, so please voice these to your supervisor. #LoveWhatYouDoAndLetItShow

Pros

Top rated management company, well known, closed on Sundays at most properties.

Cons

Commission structure is CONSTANTLY changing for the worst, pay structure for employees has decreased dramatically, Cortland is no longer employee first it is now resident first, appreciation for employees disappeared quickly, hard to get recognized by higher ups for promotions. Not enough staff at smaller properties just because we don't have enough units doesn't mean we aren't busy all day long and need the extra help, everything is about budget budget budget.

Hey, Cortlandian! We greatly appreciate your feedback. As you may already know, we do put residents first – but we never forget about our associates! Yes, our commission structure changed, and we encourage you to reach out to your manager to learn more about the current structure. We still believe in rewarding associates who produce excellent results. There is always room to advance at Cortland, and we pride ourselves in giving associates those opportunities! We’re growing rapidly, and as we do, there will be growing pains, but we will continue to accommodate our associates in every way we can. #ListenWithYourHeartAndYourMind
