Thank you for your review of your experience at Costello Medical. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed many aspects of your time at the company. We currently have two projects running in parallel across the areas of career progression and reward; our Head of Talent Strategy, Saoirse Leonard, is currently working on the former. In 2023 we changed our internal promotions process so that applications for promotions can now be submitted on a rolling basis with promotions effective every quarter. Furthermore, we aim to better recognise, celebrate and reward great people in ways that don't just involve promotion; we want to better understand what people want to see us doing with regards to horizontal progression, develop further clarity on the various forms in which career development can take at the company, and we also recently introduced a bespoke 'technical progression route' in our UK Publications team. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the company culture at Costello Medical. In our 2023 Employee Survey we introduced specific questions to assess the quality of line and project management. In particular, we asked colleagues to rate their agreement with the following statements: "My line and project managers trust me to do a good job and manage my own time", "I receive an appropriate amount of direction on how to approach tasks", and "my work is subject to an appropriate level of scrutiny/feedback." The UK results showed that 95%, 93% and 91% of respondents respectively strongly agreed, agreed or agreed with these statements. We also ran focus groups with groups of individuals to further delve into this area and we made some small tweaks to ensure that any constructive comments were addressed, including revising the content of some of our training materials. We recognise that the client-facing nature of our work can result in overtime, although we very much hope that there are peaks and troughs throughout the year in terms of pressure, workload and working hours. We do our best to monitor this, but also encourage individuals to speak with their line managers if they are feeling too much pressure.
