Pros

There is always lots of work to be done which I enjoy. I do not like being bored at work, it makes the day drag on.

Cons

There is way too much conflicting information. The resources are never updated properly when things change for our clients but they expect their employees to have ESP and automatically know these changes without having properly updated the system. There is absolutely no constructive feedback. I was not given a review because my manager was "too busy". Even though the managers never seem too busy to talk about the TV shows they watched the night before. As a dedicated and hardworking employee this is unfair to me.

Pros

Opportunity to work Hybrid or Remote.

Cons

Poor training, workload is UNMANAGEABLE and when you think you are getting to a comfortable claim count, they dump more on you. They don’t care about employees, they are more worried about their clients and keeping them happy. They would throw an employee under the bus just to save a client from leaving. Each Supervisor has their own set of rules, there is no consistency amongst the Supervisors and how employees perform. One supervisor will micromanage, the next one you barely hear from. The training is horrific, they basically throw you to the wolves, and you learn from experienced adjusters. Some adjusters have a few clients to manage, others start with 15 clients to manage and handle their claims and then are expected to have the same performance numbers as the person who only handles 3 clients. Some employees have to handle third party losses only, and no first party coverage. There simply is no rhyme or reason for how this place is run. It’s the good ol’ boys club that hired a woman supervisor because she made a stink about there not being enough women in management. Mind you, with no claims handling prior to this job and only working claims for 3 years. DO NOT SEEK EMPLOYMENT HERE!! You will regret it. Also, pay is awful for the amount of work you are expected to handle.

Pros

Job security…a few other coworkers.

Cons

You will always be over worked and be required to handle more than you know how to do or want to do. Turn over is very high because claim counts are very high. Empty promises of getting more help to take claims off your desk never comes. Requesting help from supervisors comes with a slower than molasses in January resolution until you decide to put your notice in…then it matters. Supervisors stick together so no matter if one is acting unprofessionally, they will cover up for each other. Executives don’t care to keep politics out of the job and must spew their opinions heavily during town halls and other monthly meetings. Executives don’t feel market salary increases are necessary and made it more than clear those won’t be done. CBCS is one of the lowest paying companies. Retention is super low.
