Pros

CSH is constantly doing fun activities not only for the employees but the kids. We had an awesome turn out for the winter formal. Some of our kids made corsage's and boutonniere's for the dance. We also do monthly games to win prizes (i.e. Guessing how many candies were in a jar). CSH celebrates admin employee's birthdays. We decorate their desk and everyone in the office signs their birthday cards.

Cons

Definitely the internet connection! HAHA.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback! We are constantly evolving here at CSH to make the activities and treatment fit the needs of our clientele, as our clients come first! It was great to see an amazing turn-out for our winter formal, and the clients and staff have great memories from such an enjoyable experience! Our team at CSH not only works to keep their clients motivated, we motivate one another by creating a fun atmosphere. As stated, we have team games, events, socials, trainings, and much more! With the transition of offices from our previous address, there were some adjustments to be made. However now we have improved all facets of the office, and we are running smoothly again!

Pros

Office with supplies and lamination available. Had experience with a supervisor that was supportive and respectful and seemed to really care for the client in the way she made sure to equip me the best she could.

Cons

Other than my experience with one amazing supervisor, I had a difficult time working with the others. It is good to have high expectations but the way they communicated was often condescending and demanding and I found it hard to approach them. They often were not present for monthly overlaps with client sessions. There was also a major lack of organization with so many different protocols and procedures that were never clearly implemented and I often found myself frustrated when different people expected different things. I waited to write this review after working for another ABA company where the supervisors are more respectful, present, and include you as part of a team. Especially if you are just starting out, there are other companies out there that will foster a more supportive learning process than CS4H.

CSH is continuously striving to provide the best services possible for our clients, so we are happy to hear that you saw this also! CSH does implement new policies, as it is our obligation to provide our services in compliance with the policies outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). We want to ensure that we remain up to date with the developments occurring within the field of ABA. We do pride ourselves on our training process, so it is unfortunate to hear that the written, visual, and hands on training approaches did not work for you. To assist with assimilating to the company, newly hired employees are able to work with supervisors in person to go over ABA terminology, observe sessions in a Social Skills group setting, as well as experience sessions in both an office and home setting. We provide newly hired employees with the opportunity to train in a group setting to facilitate collaborative learning. Throughout the training process a supervisor works alongside the new hires to introduce them to the company, and support them in the ABA Therapy field.

CSH lack of trust

Pros

The client’s are great to work with- it’s really the only reason people stay. You will learn a lot about ABA if you’re driven.

Cons

The management team micro-manages, and they are always looking to blame someone. There is no trust- simple things like office supplies are kept on lockdown and you have to ask permission to do anything. CSH doesn’t keep up with technological advances and therefor staff waste time and energy calculating data and creating graphs that should be done in an instant by a data crunching app. This leads to the staff and management team charging clients $$$$$$ for their lack of preparation. The management team is very reactive. I mean this in that as ABA professionals, you would think they would use these tactics in the organization as well (reinforcement, antecedent strategies, etc)... but they do not. It is always 1. Something happens, 2. Punishment is delivered, 3. Reactive strategies are put in place (new policies, new rules, etc). Nobody is on the same page... there are alllll of these rules, yet people only have to follow them with certain BCBAs and if they are liked. The rules don’t apply equally to everyone.

We do agree that our clients are exceptional, and that our team is very driven and are knowledgeable in the ABA therapy field. To address your statement regarding the supplies, the office supplies are kept in an unlocked room for ease of access, as trust, is an integral part of our company here at CSH. We believe that trust is built on integrity and honesty, and CSH provides growth opportunities to those that demonstrate trustworthy behaviors. However, if you are referring to our medical and clinical files, then yes, absolutely, CSH does work hard to ensure that all of our client information is safeguarded for our client’s privacy. To ensure we protect our client data from HIPAA violations, and breaches of the BACB ethical codes; we have put extra precautions in place to ensure that our client’s medical and clinical files are secure. Employees may have to ask the administrative team to accompany them to specific locations of the office that contain client or medical files, for HIPAA compliance purposes. Our staff are cognizant of the HIPAA regulations, so they understand the protocols in place to avoid any breaches. As a former employee growing in this field, we would hope that you would understand the importance of protecting client information, and abiding by the HIPAA regulations and laws. We choose to maintain the data collection process as we have found that this provides the clinical team with a paper trail of the data collected; whereas a technical device may cut time down in the moment, it may create more time to try to rectify the paperwork if there was a technical glitch. CSH has many reinforcing incentives for our employees to engage in, (i.e. Employee of the Month, Employee Anniversary Celebrations, Holiday Gatherings, etc.). Based on the continuous growth of the ABA therapy field, our company remains flexible by creating policies that are aligned with the ever changing field to best benefit our staff and clients. All staff equally follow the same protocols specified in New Hire Training, stated in the Employee Handbook, reminded in the Companywide trainings, and recapped again by supervisors of the company.
