Pros

The promotion process was great! They had an interview first to go over the qualifications listed and then after you pass that, they train you 3 hours a week for a month. Then you take a test and fill out checklists from your supervisors. Then once you complete all that, you have a meeting where discuss the compensation and gove you a lockbox. It's nice to see how supportive supervisors and staff can be when you need help or have any questions. They want to support and help you grow and move up in the job.

Cons

The process could be considered long but in the end it is worth the time. If I have to write any cons other than the promotion itself and about the company, I would say the drive time offered in between clients are not very accurate. Having to send in an email everytime takes up too much time so I just take what they give me. Also, when cancellations occur, therapists just lose the hours without any compensation.

Congratulations on your recent promotion! We do agree, it is a timely process, to become a Senior Therapist, however with the title, comes added responsibility. We want to ensure that the training gives the Senior Therapist the full understanding of what to expect as a new mentor to our Behavior Therapists. We want our team to be fluent in all protocols and polices, so much so that they can teach others. We accept the feedback provided and will continue to diligently work on this! We know that there is always room for improvement, and we will reach out to our scheduling team and see what we can do!

Pros

Working as a therapist has been very rewarding. I like having a flexible schedule while going to school. Its’s perfect for a part time job in the field while getting my BA.

Cons

Driving between clients can be long.

Thank you for your post! We are happy to provide you with that work life balance you need, as continued education is valued here at CSH! There is always room for growth! We do admit that some of the clients can be farther than anticipated, however this is short term, and we are constantly adding new clients and therapists to our CSH family, so we are hoping to make adjustments as soon as possible! We thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.

Pros

Working with different clients and families

Cons

The supervisors only checked in with you about once or twice a month so most of the time you are on your own. Once you start you get thrown into with no guidance which was very stressful. I got told during my interview that after a few months I could go to full-time hours but this was a straight up lie. I asked multiple times to many different admin employees about going full-time during my year here and they keep leading me on with no intention to give me more hours. HR rarely responds to emails and the supervisors would talk behind admin and HR's back about how terrible they were and also how they never answered emails. My supervisors would even talk behind other supervisors backs and all the problems during session in front of the kiddos. They give terrible hours, not accurate drive time, and no compensation for cancellations (which most other companies do). I had fun with the kids for the most part but I would never recommend, I moved on to other behavioral therapy companies that are way better than this one.

Thank you for your feedback. We do provide consistent supervision within each case that a therapist has, in addition the supervision and feedback received from supervisors is tracked on a monthly basis. We also offer New Hire Training to every new staff member via in person lecture based and hands on trainings. Unfortunately due to the nature of the field, and a therapist’s availability, we cannot guarantee hours. Scheduling is like a giant puzzle piece in this field, but the more open a therapist’s availability is to have session, the more opportunity our scheduling team has to fulfil a schedule. All time is pre-determined for the employee so that we can assist with alleviating the scheduling work for the staff member. We want to provide our team with the ability to focus solely on the services they provide to our clients. Although we can tentatively pre-determine a schedule, it is up to that staff member to let us know of the accurate time worked/drive time. Due to our contracts, we are unable to bill for client cancelations; however we are more than happy to provide compensation (at the company's expense) for late cancelations. We think all of our clients are fun and are family to us, and we try to make a lasting impression on each one we service!
