Pros

Good hours. Leaving their employ..

Cons

No advancement, no raises, no bonuses. Poor working conditions, hostile work environment. You are nothing but a cog in a machine. Way to much upper management . Completely out of touch with the daily struggles and with the emplyees. This is not a career....this is a job.

Pros

Able to provide constructive input at both the local and corporate level. Upper management is always accessible.

Cons

Following the Eclipse conversion, many seasoned purchasing professionals have left the company. And now there is a huge lack of knowledge and experience. Reporting features are terrible; largely inaccurate. So it's hard to hit a moving target, and trying to fight the system to keep inventory on the shelf is exhausting. Pay and bonus structures are subpar compared to competitors.

Pros

A company dedicated to serving it's customers as well as taking care of their employees. In the 29 years I have been in the industry I have never worked for an electrical distributor where you really feel as "part of the family". From the President to the District Manager and everyone at corporate, it's no wonder that Crescent Electric is so successful and a pleasure to work for.

Cons

I do not really have any cons to report on. The only thing I will say is that in 29 years this is the first time I have had a district purchasing team compared to having an in house purchasing agent. Our team in Phoenix District does a superb job ensuring that inventory levels are met for the customers needs and our market. That said however, I would still like to have more purchasing power allocated to me in house.
