Pros

Other team members are cool and SOME guests are chill

Cons

As a front desk member you are expected to wear many hats. Customer service, sales, machine repair, janitorial work, personal training sales, and debt collection to name a few. You will be forced to call customers that are delinquent and demand they pay their bill. You will be judged not on the amount of memberships you sell, but how many personal trainings you sell. You could sell 50 memberships a month, but if you sell 5 trainings, you are considered inferior. You will have to constantly stop members and ask them to share a crunch social media posts, ask them to sign up for personal training, and whatever else the management wants from you. Also management does not care about the wellbeing of the employees, they only care about hitting their monthly bonuses.

Pros

Coworkers were some of the best people I've ever met, learned lots of different sales techniques. Goals were mostly attainable and they start you off on the right foot with support from management on how to keep getting better. If you work out at all, it is easy to convey why someone should start work on their own health.

Cons

-base pay was too low- at minimum wage but come on... -Turnover high at front desk, so had to do duties outside of selling. You can make the most of it up at the front desk, but front desk is monotonous work -very book of business based which just takes time to build, the industry itself needs a better way to optimize technology so a new advisor can walk in and start building a book faster.
