The salaries are a bit under market value. Sometimes there is so much focus on metrics, the softer skills are lost.

Low pay. I believe I am paid fair market value for a call center but it's still tough to make it work when rent goes up 20% each year and I don't get a raise. Also, job responsibilities change almost twice a year. The job I do now isn't anything like it was when I was hired.
