Pros

Remote work and general independence

Cons

Employees aren’t given reference materials and are expected to memorize everything they learn in training. People get forced to cross train and constantly take on more work and responsibility but pay isn’t tied to your training level or workload it’s just “considered at your annual evaluation.” For Christmas instead of bonuses they gave out a coupon for $25 off your groceries because they know otherwise many of their employees couldn’t afford a holiday meal on the god awful excuse for wages they offer. For a company that offers remote work they’ve got some strange restrictions on the states you can live in, because some states have a minimum wage that upper management has admired they can no longer afford to pay. The company is based in MN but no longer highers employees from there because they can’t afford it. “At least they’re not moving the jobs offshore” you say? Oh they are. They hired a company in Mexico to outsource the work already being outsourced to them. Additionally the company recently lost a class action lawsuit against its staff because as recently as late 2022 they were forcing employees to clock out for bathroom breaks. People were reprimanded and had their time cards adjusted by management if they did not comply.

Not the best place to work at.

Pros

The co-workers I associated with were good people.

Cons

They tell you they will work with you if you need to change your availability and that was a lie. You are scheduled to take your breaks and lunch at a certain time but you still have to ask if you can go on your assigned breaks. You even have to ask if you can go to the bathroom and if you are allowed to go you have to sign off and you are not paid. I never understood why a grown-up has to ask to go to the bathroom especially if you are not even paying them while they are in the bathroom. If you need to call off for whatever reason they want you to find coverage. Your child can be sick and they tell you to look for coverage, how am I suppose to look for coverage while taking my sick child to the E.R. The training is not even training!! All they do is read a PowerPoint and tell you what to expect and throw you out there to start taking calls without practice. You are told that if you do great on your calls you will get an extra $100 on your check. But they keep changing the policy so they don't have to pay you. They then tell you that you have to have great calls, you have to be on time and keep adding to the list. They give you no raises. You can learn to take calls for the bigger accounts, be great at your job and you still do not get a raise. Employees come and go because the job is terrible and they do nothing to make it better. NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO ASK OFF CHRISTMAS. They believe working is more important than spending time with your family. You get NO HOLIDAYS OFF and you finally get PTO if you stay for a year. If you need help and you ask a supervisor they will tell you one thing, and if you ask another supervisor the same thing they will tell you another thing. I could keep going but I think I have made this long enough.

Pros

The building has a refrigerator and bathrooms, that's about as good as it gets

Cons

Revolving door of employees. insanely robotic mind numbing script requirements. idiotic inconsistent scheduling, smelly (like they don't shower before work) co-workers. Horrible management. You have to ask permission to go to the bathroom (no joke, ask permission, welcome to 1825). Work at mcdonalds instead, seriously.
