Toxic Culture, Zero Accountability, and Retaliatory Environment
Pros
Pay and benefits may seem competitive at first glance
Cons
From my direct experience, Customers Bank operates in an environment where nepotism, retaliation, and selective enforcement of policies are rampant. Leadership claims to value transparency and integrity, yet in practice, investigations are weaponized against employees who speak up or don’t conform to internal cliques. Confidentiality is inconsistently applied as some individuals can openly gossip and use inappropriate language without consequence, while others are terminated on alleged “policy violations” that are still under investigation. Policies are vague enough to be twisted to fit a predetermined outcome. Favoritism is blatant, especially toward those with personal connections in leadership. When misconduct is reported, outcomes seem to depend more on who you are than what actually happened. Decisions are often made before investigations are complete, and narratives are manipulated to vilify certain employees while protecting others.
