Worst place to work on Earth

Pros

Competitive pay when you join, and good benefits.

Cons

There is a Culture of Pointing Finger & dividing while pretending they was to unify is simply insulting. People are "empowered" to take action, what they don't say is, that you are empowered to do, exactly what you are told, or else you will get in trouble somehow if you push back and think. Also most of the Upper management have no idea what it takes to get things done and make commitments on a fly and make unachievable requests, bit tittles, zero understanding, they push their work on their teams, provide no additional resources, and treat us like they do us a favor by employing us. This causes people to quit all the time, go on stress leaves, start experiencing visible stress in all its forms, or simply hate each day when going to work.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Innovative technology.

Cons

Training program is horrible. Managers offer little help to employees. Mentors/shift leads do not care. Big rumor mill.

Zombie Company

Pros

Good people, good work environment. The parent company has a great future.

Cons

This location is slowly becoming a zombie company. From a vibrant and independent company, Cymer/ASML is becoming nothing more than a second thought division with limited growth for business and promotion. This is a good place for entry level positions to a manager level position, but the opportunity is extremely limited after that and you will need to leave this company for further career growth and personal development. There is little business autonomy and all decisions are made by the parent company. There is a huge culture difference between the dutch parent company and the US company, and this difference outweighs new bathrooms, color schemes and pay reductions. People here are disheartened and go through the motions - zombie like.
