Pros
Flexible - DAT engineers are privileged up to 2 days work from home as there are some who come from as far as Vancouver, Battle Ground, and Salem.
Challenging - DAT has a range of SAAS offerings in the Transportation industry and the technical challenges that developers face are interesting. There are no boring days!
Growth Opportunities - DAT is evolving and has teams that focus on microservices, front end web development, and native android and ios applications.
Good Work life balance - DAT realizes the importance of having family and the busy schedule that brings. Managers allow team members to set a schedule and make up lost time when doctors appointments or emergencies come up. Some members prefer to come in early, while others closer to 9:00 and even 10:00 am.
Culture - DAT has a monthly social allowing everybody to come together and well - socialize! Food trucks every few weeks are a nice bonus. Quarterly company wide meetings help employees understand what is going on in the industry, and team outings for major releases are a nice way to reward and celebrate.
Evolving direction - DAT continues to evolve with a considerable effort put into cloud hosting, material design, and microservices architecture.
Compensation - DAT offers competitive salaries and top performers are promoted internally.
Cons
DAT is a Roper subsidiary so although the medical insurance package is comprehensive, I wish that office visits had lower copays and lower monthly premiums.
