Pros

- Used to be great benefits but healthcare costs are increasing YoY - Flexible hours/locations but now being taken away

Cons

I am working at DENSO and I have to say, it's a company in decline. There's a serious lack of innovation and the business is suffering as a result. They're also struggling to retain talented employees because people are overworked, underpaid, and lack growth opportunities. The recent policy about returning to the office is just another example of DENSO's poor management. The company is forcing people back into the office without considering individual circumstances or employee input. While I agree that face-to-face meetings can be productive, it should be a situation-based decision, not a strong-handed mandate. It's frustrating to see DENSO overlook the fact that other top automotive companies still have a 100% work-from-home policy for non-essential functions. Rather than incentivizing employees to return to the office, DENSO is using a clock-in-clock-out system and even threatening reprimands for those who don't comply. It feels invasive and unnecessary.

Pros

Not working there anymore. I have to add 20 words for the pros so I am continuing to type cause there are no pros.

Cons

Any positive reviews you see have been written by a management type of personnel. Look through all of these reviews for DMMI. Is there a common problem that everyone is complaining about? Bully management. Hostile work environment. An incompetent AR department that doesn't do anything about problems that are brought up. The only thing I saw AR do while I was there was try to fire people that brought up issues. DMMI has a serious management problem and they can't seem to admit it. So that means it will never be fixed. Why can't they seem to fill open positions? Maybe there is a reason for that? They are extremely short skilled tradesman. A problem that they have caused. Some journeymen have retired. Others got sick of the crap and left. Now there is a freeze for movement within the company for journeyman. They want to fill 15 of their current 18 openings before they let any journey move to a different bid. At the pace they are hiring that will take years. So be prepared if you go there as a journeyman. You might be on the off shift for quit a while. ALSO....... Be prepared for no pay raise on a regular basis. Skilled trades has had only 84 cents worth of raises in the last 8 years!!!! All while having to pay more for benefits. There are other places around that you can start out higher and make more money. Don't wast your time with DMMI unless you like getting lied to all the time by leadership. On the production side. They have lowered the hire in pay by 2 dollars an hour. So if you hire into production you can be happy to know that you will be doing the same job next to somebody that is on a higher pay scale than you. AGAIN!!!! Don't wast your time on DMMI. They have the same problems in engineering as well. All of the same problems. Pay issues. Management issues. Many good engineers have left as well and they are having a hard time replacing them. Newly hired journeyman and engineers quickly get tired of the problems and move on. There are better places to work that pay more than DMMI. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! I quit wasting my time on that place. Moved on and am now very happy with my job.

Pros

Some great co-workers, although I don't know why they don't quit. Good health benefits.

Cons

Low pay compared to others, little engineering performed in the NAFTA region. Japan still controls everything with the exception of HR who plays favorites and makes things unbearable in the work environment if you aren't one of their few favorites.
