Pros

Very high level of stability in your job, very rarely fires associates. Great experience early in career.

Cons

Same as the pros, much of the promotion and organization structure is based on how long you have been at the company. Very infused with the Japanese culture, it can become very frustrating for young professionals looking to move up.

In the engineering group, managers are usually also engineers. Not someone with a business degree. Quality is #1. Employees are used to the best of their capabilities. Stability

Cons

Quality is expensive against innovation. 60-80hrs a week is usually minimum. Poor performers are not fired and only stagnate climbing slightly History of promotion on age and seniority over skill
