      A mix of great Japanese engineering with toxic leadership in the middle layers

      Pros

      DENSO has effective engineering mechanisms because of its Japanese origin. Great for learning governance controls and rigorous design & development.

      Cons

      Bad leaders are placed in the middle layer competing for their promotions while stepping on the people below. Creates a toxic environment and lack of future direction.

      Pros

      Loved the team and work environment/culture. It's a japanese company so the culture is tailored to their business and engineering style. Great people and experience in the automotive industry. Also very loyal company, I worked there as an intern and go hired on after college. Was there for 10 years and would have stayed if I didn't move out of state.

      Cons

      As a "Design Engineer", you're more of a project manager than a design engineer. Responsibilities are more towards customer interface, making schedules, and being the focal point between all internal departments (manufacturing, quality, business, etc.). Like I said, more of a PM role than actual design role. Also they have dedicated CAD Designers so you're CAD skills and usage is limited.

      Pros

      Very little. They will advertise many perks, but it's all smoke and mirrors. Suicide hotline posted in restrooms.

      Cons

      Not enough space to list or explain. A 2 class company with an embarrassing, phoney management group bloated beyond comprehension. Worthless HR that is more focused on creating a mass exodous rather than building a good culture.
