Pros

1) Current work from home policy. 2) Almost guaranteed 2-3% annual merit increase. 3) PTO policy and holidays.

Cons

1) Corporate culture is horrible (Dictatorship). Leadership through fear and fault. 2) Medical costs increasing. 3) Company cafeteria closed permanently. 4) Eliminating position level perks and benefits.

Pros

Big automotive budgets for projects and CAPEX, plenty of technology and processes to learn, modern and some cutting edge equipment in a few areas, large team of colleagues from a variety of backgrounds

Cons

Production Engineering group is near the bottom of the totem poll, and so is the pay. Work piles up quickly if you get behind, and asking for help is rather futile. Engineers seem to be turning over constantly. HR appears to prefer young, cheap hires with turnover in mind, so be ready to inherit a mess from the last guy. Training is available but impossible to schedule before you need it.

Pros

Benefits, PTO, some good people to work with. Lots of learning and travel opportunities Career growth afterwards Interesting technology

Cons

No work life balance Slow growth development. Don't expect to move up until you've been there for 3+ years or are a clear favorite. Micro management High turn over Management has clear favorites Senior managers seem to be able to talk the talk but lack actual manufacturing experience Sales managers / corporate are always blaming the factories without knowing the full details. They play the blame game even in front of the customer. Crafting the Core is backwards thinking of progress. Change towards the future, instead of going back to old ways that are outdated. There is no set training for job rolls. It's more sink or swim. Which seems like an industry norm. But Denso was easily the worst out of the 4 automotive companies I've been with. If you have w good manager you'll be in better shape than the others. Lots of office politics
