Pros

- Good place to learn about the basics of the wind industry - Colleagues are friendly and willing to help - Good client base - Respected organization in the renewables industry, though this is quickly changing since all the talented people are leaving

Cons

The company struggles to remain relevant. Attempts to advance the company technologically have been slow and poorly executed. People are promoted and rewarded based on appearance and charisma rather than performance and ability. This is crippling the company. Pay is well below industry standards and benefits consitently get worse each year. Layoffs are frequent and unpredictable. This creates a negative work environment. Very little support staff available, most of the admin task are pushed onto the project managers and engineers. A large portion of the company is rooted in shipping, oil, and gas. As these industries struggle, the whole company struggles, even the renewables department. Employee feedback is ignored or not gathered.

Pros

Benefits Packages 9/80 work week. Every other Friday off is great Office location in Houston TX

Cons

- Unrealistic goals as an organization - Keep changing Senior Management and keeping poor managers around because they have been there a long time. - toxic environment has developed over the past two years. - Compensation is way below market average in Houston TX - Bonus system is a joke as well as annual raises. Get a top rating and get less than 1/2% raise because money is tight. - Some managers commute to and from remote locations spending tens of thousands of dollars of the companies money while times are tough. - almost no communication -

Pros

Solid reputation for integrity, quality and ethics. Involved in wide range of businesses and has some unique, one of a kind services.

Cons

Too many expat managers. Poor career track. Talk about diversity in nationalities, but all senior or key positions are expats. Global company, but acts like a Norwegian company with foreign offices. Cutting and reducing benefits. Salaries often don't reflect local market conditions.
