Pros

There are some great people to work with, but they come and go due to limited growth opportunities and noncompetitive salary compensations.

Cons

Expected to work long hours with little recognition. Salary is not competitive within the industry. Everyone is overworked and stretched thin, and tasks are often delegated with little guidance. "You should be able to figure it out" and "that shouldn't take you long" are common phrases heard within this company. Disorganized upper management. Low morale within my office. Professional development program is an incredible waste of time, as it doesn't really translate to any growth and development goals are unrealistic due to the unreasonable amount of work dumped on your plate.

Pros

Caring moral coworkers, possibility for travel.

Cons

Merger chaos: upper management seemingly has no idea what is going on currently. Current mergers are removing vacation, benefits, bonuses. Pay is well below average (lowest 10th percentile) in my office. Short career tracks unless you want to become a middle manager. Managers ask you to perform ~75% chargeable work yet assign large amount of non-chargeable work, expect you to complete it on your personal time. Beginning to lack safety considerations despite fatality in 2008.
