Pros

Flexible work schedule; understanding leadership team with regards to work/life balance. For the most part, the people in the office give new employees great freedom and leeway when life concerns require time away from the office. People are rarely disciplined in an unfair manner. Compensation is not like other major operators in the energy sector (oil and gas) but is commensurate with work load and performance requirements. The office also has an extremely diverse group of highly capable persons with backgrounds from academia, industry and the military. The company thrives on collecting persons with different skills and tries to channel them into client services. It is one of the few places where the employees are very exposed in terms of the number of countries of origin (20+), languages spoken (8+), and countries visited (40+).

Cons

Poor performance feedback; poor career planning; abundance of role redundancy can frustrate one's sense of career development.

Pros

DNV is a ISO company. As said, all practices are as per ISO standard. Which will be a great learning opportunity and enviroment to live and work in. Well to get a feel, Norway has the highest GDP. I already had my lunch cover with buffets almost everyday. Employees are really pamper there. I was really inspire to be part of DNV at first impression when i just join. There are many people who are serving over 10 yrs. When I spoke with the Norwegians, they dun have much slang which will be a good thing for Singaporeans, Hence really easy to communicate. Ipod Xmas gift for every employee. Period. That says it all. ^^

Cons

There are just as much competitiors. Jobs are seasonal. Therefore your learning rate is as per the number of jobs coming in.This is due to its business nature. Its not really for someone looking for a exciting and challanging career but more for people who like to lead a blissful life. Workaholics stay out. There are too many darn meetings on updating on DNV's current position in the market. Too many brandings and motivation thing going around to get employees constantly motivated to stay. Can be quite annoying after a while. Your overtime pay eligibility is as per product per profit percentage which can be a double edge knife.
