We conduct market research to ensure our staff is compensated at or above market rates for their specific career experience, including a cost area factor for each of our locations. There have been several instances where we’ve offered new employees more than they requested based on our market research. I encourage you to discuss this with your supervisor so they can collaborate with our total rewards manager to ensure your compensation is on target. It may also be a good time to discuss your progress in your current position and what it takes get the next level of responsibility and corresponding salary.

Thank you for your insight into the firm. You probably already know we are constantly working to innovate/update/take full advantage of our resource planning so that we can more accurately track our company staff resources and better balance workloads. However, as you noted we do have surges and lulls often due to seasonal or client-driven demands. We will continue to look for ways to balance the crunch that often comes in consulting.
