Our staff bring a wide range of education and expertise to the firm. In my experience, those who contribute knowledge and value are highly sought after, regardless of their educational background. In fact, one of the best Project Managers I ever worked with at DOWL did not have a PE. If you feel your experience and expertise are not being recognized and rewarded appropriately, I highly encourage you to discuss this with your supervisor. Our managers and leadership are very focused on rewarding top talent. The qualities they value most include things like hard work, experience, expertise, quality, attention to detail, and client management. I've never heard a supervisor cite educational background as the reason for a raise or promotion.

We conduct numerous salary studies, and our compensation package is very competitive in our industry (i.e. salary, bonus, 401K match, student loan debt 401(k) match program, healthcare, etc.). Please reach out to your supervisor and get a full picture of your compensation package. In addition, if you have information/data to support a salary increase, please provide that to your supervisor for consideration. A good, honest dialogue with them on your goals for advancement, the skills needed to get there, and any corresponding salary adjustment would be healthy and well received.
