Pros

Fair amount of vacation time No shortage of work Good job security Small management

Cons

Project schedules have become utterly unworkable with the available resources. Every group is overtaxed and leadership keeps on taking more work. Our president is arrogant and pretends to know more than he really does. He constantly is telling how other people should do their job but when you ask for help all you get is a lecture on how bad you are doing. Software is a bunch of primadonnas. They think the world revolves around them but they constantly delay the projects for no good reason. They can't seem to get along with any group. They see themselves are totally indispensable to the company but really clueless as to what we do as a company. Site management can't find things to save their lives. It's easier to have us order more vs getting off the chair and look. One could not find some part and at the end of the project we found those in the parts he was using for a footrest in the trailer since the start of the project. No repercussions for people not doing their job but I get reprimanded for budget overages. Our manufacturing facility can't make or ship anything on time. That would be fine but our president seems to think that's our job to solve. Ask for help and I'm told to make it work with what we have. Raises are a constant joke of how much you are appreciated.

Pros

Something new every day. Never boring. Starting salary. Nice new building. Clean break room.

Cons

We recently switched to SAP for our factory management software. That has been going terribly because our company seems to be refusing to buy the modules that we need to do our jobs with it. Having seen what other companies do with it I can tell we are missing some things. instead of buying the things that would make our lives easier they are saving money and letting every department in the company use it differently and forcing us to do so much work manually with other software packages. it's absolutely maddening. Raises are next to nothing and not keeping up with basic living costs.
