Pros

Pay and Benefits did improve

Cons

I was with Daiichi Sankyo from it's merger to major expansion. As the organization grew the small company culture spiraled down the drain. The majority of the reason was poor leadership from the Regional level down to District Managers the quality of some those individuals hired from outside the company were bad to unprofessional.

Better times may be approaching, but proceed with caution.

Pros

Competitive salary, decent work life balance and working with some very dedicated people.

Cons

Upper management has been exempt from the concept of accountability that is given much lip-service. The upper management "boys club" is predominately from the Sankyo side of the Daiichi-Sankyo merger. They have a tremendous sense of entitlement and love for early afternoon tee times. They have made a mockery of the corporate values and tried to paint a rosy picture for the parent company's Japanese leadership. Recently, the CEO, John Gargiulo was fired by the Japanese leadership, who hopefully have become aware of the fact that the US organization is highly dysfunctional. More leadership change is sorely needed for this company to be successful in the US.

Pros

Generally good people and collaborative work environment.

Cons

Limited promotion potential for existing employees. Desire to hire people from big pharma rather than promote from within. Years of reorgs and constant change. Global roles require many early mornings and evening meetings with Japan.
