Pros

Good work environment, firendly coworkers and communicative management. On the job training was good and hours were flexible. My boss seemed genuinely interested in keeping busywork-type paperwork to a minimum. The job (undergraduate advisor, basically an RA) came with generally good housing (as far as student dorms go, that is).

Cons

cold winters can be tough. Parking on campus is a pain - few spaces and a number of arcane, poorly publicized rules about who can park where. It sounds trivial until you hear that parking tickets on campus can cost as much as $50 for parking in the wrong space

Pros

Dartmouth is a prestigious place to work and has great health and education and retirement benefits. Dartmouth College is supportive of educational advancement. Dartmouth College is a pretty campus. You have access to a lot of mental stimulation. Hanover has very little crime. DHMC is close by and provides a lot of access to highly trained medical personnel. Lebanon is a wonderful small town to raise a family. West Lebanon has a lot of retail shops and restaurants and the Upper Valley is a thriving area.

Cons

It is hard to advance from within at Dartmouth. They prefer to hire people from other colleges for senior positions unless the person is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
