Pros

If you want to be an under paid data center technician forever and you like doing everyone’s job ( janitorial, tile cutter, shipping/ receiving, mailman, security, rack builder, stocking beverages, garbage man, and plus all the IT side of things).

Cons

Little to no opportunity in moving up with the company, unless you’re in the Kansas City which I have seen email promoting a few individual that are already in high position. Even as a datacenter technician you will do customer care, network operation center work but won’t get equal opportunity. Top management has been ineffective and tyrannical, forced out many good people. Company has an arrogant streak that does not reflect reality of its marginal products & service. Weak management at all location, (Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO, Eagan and Edina, MN) and lack of communication informing data center technician about important dates. Could not afford simple tools for technician to use, some of the tech would bring their own. They could not afford simple time clock for employee to clock in and it was base on honor system. Sales team, sale engineer, GM/ DC manager, would not honest about coming into work. They do not put in the required time at the office, unless CEO, CFO, VP are coming into town. Upper management will take trip to MN location and stay for a couple days just to do an hour meeting that could be done via web conference. Company isn’t growing when they cannot get a full staff in MN location. Benefit is not good, after a couple visit to the dental clinic, stated it would cover but then later would get a payment owe because insurance decline. Some of the managers were trying to force all employees to get high deductible health plan.

Pros

The health insurance is well above average. Despite being a company of only about 100 there is pleasant corporate culture. The company is growing. It's hard to beat the cool location in the former Dallas Federal Reserve Bank building in downtown Dallas. Exposure to executive culture as all are included in quarterly all hands meetings. Great company to learn with. Management is cool and fun to work with. Lots of great experience facing customers. Great colo customer diversity with some of the major IT players as customers. Excellent facilities as learning tools for those entering the data center market.

Cons

Little opportunity in Dallas for those techs looking to go into network engineering but a great place to work while studying the discipline. In regards to advancement as of 8/28/15 IT and network support is based in Kansas City. Salary not competitive for experienced data center technicians.
