The role is very sales focused for a Customer Success role and KPIs are unobtainable for the CSA team. Bonus for hitting KPIs is not very attractive, so there isn't a lot of motivation to upsell.
Pay is just a bit too low given how technical and how many responsibilities you have as a CSA.
Junior management are not very cut out to be in charge of diverse teams. It's 2022 and there were a few questionable behaviours from the junior management that occurred.
A lot of staff retention issues within the sales and CS teams.
There are plenty of other companies with more competitive products that pay better, including New Relic and Dynatrace. Datadog will have you believe they are the only one in their league. Don't drink the cool aid ;)
