Cultural Crisis

Pros

unlimited PTO (up to 15 days, then it becomes monitored)

Cons

This company is in a cultural crisis. People are dropping like flies. They hold AMA sessions to give the appearance of transparency, but they condemn any questions that even slightly rock the boat. Rather than viewing these sessions as a chance to hold themselves accountable, the leaders take everything personally. They go to all means necessary to coerce our silent, obedient consent. I was so disheartened at the last AMA when human resources referred to questions about gender pay gap within the company as being a “waste of time.” When your senior leaders and human resources are making comments like this, you know it’s a problem. A lawsuit is likely imminent.

Daxko has an array of great benefits including flexible paid time off. We ask for an additional level of approval after 15 days to ensure that all team members are taking advantage of this time to recharge plus, unfortunately, when it was not monitored, we had some people abuse the benefit. Your complaint about the Ask Me Anything (AMA) is a BIG misunderstanding. The same question had previously been asked and answered at a previous session immediately prior to the session being referenced. We think the confusion is that the response given was inviting the individual who asked the question to come talk to the CFO or any certified member of the People Development team if they wanted more details. We have held 10 AMAs in the last 90 days with senior leaders in (Birmingham, Chicago, Denver and Zoom for remote team members) and any suggestion that we are not open, transparent and accountable is simply not true. Although posting your grievance online does get a response, we suspect it is not particularly helpful. Why don’t you meet with the CFO or the People Team to discuss your views and questions in detail? To remove all doubt, we do not tolerate discrimination whether it is on the basis of sex, race, national origin, color, age, religion, disability, pregnancy, or any other legally protected characteristic. In addition, Daxko prohibits discriminatory treatment of individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. If you know of any situation or instance that concerns you, you are obligated to immediately bring it to the attention of a senior leader or the people team. To help ensure we maintain a safe work environment, we have annual mandatory training on Respect in the Workplace addressing discrimination, harassment and respect.

Pros

Friendly peers, cheap healthcare, free lunch Friday

Cons

Which delusional person is writing these snobby, dishonest, poorly-written Glassdoor review responses? Let me clarify some of the dishonest responses that I've seen to these Glassdoor reviews, Daxko has stated that there have been large sums of money paid in bonuses and extra earning opportunities this year. The majority of these bonuses are for employee referral bonus. We are encouraged to refer out friends for jobs at Daxko. These referral bonuses are paid out over the course of multiple years, so the numbers are always inflated. Also, the amount paid in referral bonuses is not worth the negative impact it would have on any friendship. Quick tip: if someone has referred you work at Daxko, you may want to consider whether that person actually considers you a friend or an enemy. We are continually told that we have unlimited earning potential because of this referral bonus if we choose to refer candidates, but we are not your recruiting staff. Our regular Daxko jobs consume more than 40 hours a week as it is. I wanted to write this review to clarify the misleading information written in the Glassdoor responses. Anyone considering coming to Daxko, I encourage you to read the negative reviews written over the last 6 months. It is widely known throughout the company that the five star reviews are completely falsified.

We agree with you that we have not only friendly, but amazing team members working at Daxko. In addition to low-cost employee-paid premium, our healthcare coverage is great. Having catered lunch on Friday is a nice perk, but don’t forget about free drinks and coffee, 401k, gym reimbursement, and not to mention the 4-week paid sabbatical after every 5 years of employment. Ok, let’s jump into the areas you have listed as cons. Each Daxko response to a review contains the title of the person responding on behalf of the company. As the Director of People Development, let me correct your misstatements. Each time a response mentioned referral bonuses, the amount giving is reflected as earned, not paid. A team member can earn between $2,500-$7,500 per referral on qualifying roles, which is not an insignificant amount. As unhappy as you sound, you are posting as a current employee. Daxko must be doing something right for you to still want to be here? If a friend refers another to work at a company that they enjoy, I would suggest anyone having a good conversation with the referral source. If you know of someone posting falsified reviews, we, as I’m sure Glassdoor, encourage you to address this in the appropriate support channels for this site. Daxko does not now, nor do we ever intend to misrepresent ourselves to anyone, period.

Striving for Average

Pros

The company is very relaxed but laser focused. Everyone works well together and there is a definite sense of community in all of the offices. Plenty of room for growth if you're an ambitious person.

Cons

Far too often, Daxko Senior Leadership likes to compare itself to the average company or competitor as an excuse for taking away a benefit, changing culture or not working to keep tenured employees. Be prepared for less than average pay and promotions that don't come with much of a raise.

Thank you for the response. Laser focus is what we believe to be key to Daxko’s future success and growth. We have the best on our team to make this happen and we’re glad to have you aboard to make us better. Our goal is to be the best employer in the world. We hear your concerns about comparing ourselves to other employers but know that average is not now--nor will ever be--our goal. Keep the feedback coming and thank you for being a part of this growth period at Daxko.
