Pros

There are some good people that work within the Delek organization, and it helps to have a peer group with which you are able share your common frustrations regarding your employer. The bar is set extremely low, so if you are happy to simply collect a paycheck in exchange for a mindless 30 hour work week, then you definitely have that opportunity at Delek. Sometimes the best way to learn how to run a successful business is to be exposed to the wrong way of managing.

Cons

The main issue with Delek is the extreme negative culture that has been created by the head of the organization. Extreme micromanagement and the necessity to be involved in every aspect of the business makes it impossible to be effective and add value. Culture of fear.

Worst, Most Toxic, Most Incompetent Leadership & Org

Not. One. Thing. (Noting free coffee at HQ to meet the minimum word requirement here.)

Cons

It's mind-blowing how totally incompetent this company is. They only make a profit (sometimes) and survive despite themselves. The Leadership team/C-Suite/VP level and above are almost exclusively made up of morons. The CEO is totally incapable of running a company and can't make any decisions without BCG telling them what to do - would help if BCG had any expertise in Oil and Gas or Transportation, but they are completely clueless. They have no idea what they're doing. It's the blind leading the blind. All the intelligent and capable people are leaving in droves. Soon, there will be no one left to even attempt to save the company. Something bad is about to happen. Telling you now. There will be another massive refinery explosion or huge flammable/hazardous tank or rail spill if not a combination of those in the next six months. Operations leadership has been resigning because they're scared that an impending mass casualty event will happen on their watch, and they can't bare it. Leadership will not listen. They don't care. They are so ignorant. They would step over a hundred-dollar bill to pick up a penny - but multiply that sentiment by hundreds of millions. Do not work for this company! Do not invest in this company!

Stop! Do not work for this toxic company

Cons

There are a laundry list of reasons to not work for this very unprofessional organization. favoritism- you can get away with not doing your job as long as you are a favorite Toxic- Employees are very unprofessional borderline bully behavior. Then when you call them out they want to back pedal. Unprofessional- the language in that office alone would make you question if you are at a bar. Act like HR professionals and do better!! Diversity- The company lacks diversity in all places areas of the company. It’s laughable that they do not see this as an issue
