Pros

free flights anywhere in the world on Delta (first class if available), only pay country tax, for you and spouse and parents and children. Travel and see as many places as you wish.

Cons

corporate feel, limited opportunities, not as fun of environment

Pros

Immediate supervisors and co-workers still carry on the "Delta Family" atmosphere. Competitive pay and benefits.

Cons

glassdoor Community Guidelines state to "Tell like it is...for real". Here it is: Senior Management and the Board of Directors drove the last nail through the heart of the Delta culture when they did 2 things: 1) Offered benefits to "domestic partners" (it riled up the employees so bad the email system had to be shut down to regain order), and 2) Announced the employees were proud to support the LGBT community and their events in order capture their business, when, in fact, many of us were actually embarrassed, and they were flying with us anyway. Obviously it was more important to chase the dollars than to respect the company culture and its history of providing great customer service regardless of what the customers did at home.

Pros

Working for Delta in Airport Customer Service is constantly changing, as you never have the same day twice because the passengers are different day to day. In addition, the pass benefits are great--flying for free virtually anywhere in the world now thanks to the Northwest acquisition. That opened up Asia. You can go to Ireland one weekend, Singapore the next.

Cons

The Performance Leader position evolved into one that had A LOT of stress and pressure added to it, and I took a voluntary package because of it. In addition my corporate director didn't help things by only being concerned with numbers. The director forgot his subordinates were human beings. I saw him in the operation only twice in the time he was hired to the time I took the package (about 8 months).
