Pros

The pros is working in a cool industry with firearm, training etc..

Cons

Their slogan right now is, "Everyone Has A Number" but everyone feels like, "Everyone IS JUST A NUMBER". The core values the company has is non-existent in the field. Here are some of the main cons; 1. Don't expect to take any days off. HR more than likely will combat this with, "Flexible Schedule" opportunity. 2. Days off are being used as an award (not talking about PTO). They only want you to take one day off a week per week. Even on the day off, you will have several phone calls from your leadership or be required to jump onto a conference call. 3. No raises are given. HR will reply with, "uncapped commissions" and use the standard statement of your $40K is the national average. This is not talked about during the hiring or onboarding phase. 4. Forced to use a company vehicle. This actually brings down your salary to below $35K. HR will more than likely say, you can use the vehicle for personal use but to a certain percentage. 4. Receive phone calls from leadership from 5:30am to midnight 5. Leadership says they want you to push memberships onto others until they walk out or the person has to call the police on you. 6. Delta says the hours for an outside sales rep is evenings and weekends. The reality is , you will be working mornings, days, evenings, nights and weekends. I do respect the HR director, Heidi. She is upfront and truthful and fair. I believe the reason why most do not want to call HR for support is the local leadership will know who their talking about and the local leadership will use retaliation against you as I've seen done to so many others in the past.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and take your concerns seriously. At Delta Defense, we believe that every team member matters, and we never want anyone to feel like “just a number.” While we are proud of our mission and the people who drive it, we know that honest feedback—especially when it’s tough—is essential to making us better. We encourage team members to bring concerns forward to be addressed constructively. If your immediate leaders are not addressing your concerns, our head of HR is available for direct support, and our president holds regular “jam sessions” to create space for open, solution-focused conversations. These opportunities are here to help, and we invite you to take advantage of them. Anonymous reviews can raise important points, but limit our ability to respond meaningfully. We’re committed to a culture that values crucial conversations, stands behind our core values, and supports the people who bring those values to life every day in every role. We’ll continue listening, improving, and working hard to ensure our culture reflects who we truly are and aspire to be. We also want to acknowledge the concern raised about sales tactics. Delta Defense is, at its core, a mission-driven sales organization, and we’re proud of the work our teams do to connect people with life-saving education, training, and protection. That said, how we sell matters just as much as what we sell. We expect our teams to lead with integrity, respect, and professionalism in every interaction. High standards are part of our culture; we continuously look for ways to improve.

Pros

Every day I get the honor and privilege to work with Delta Defense; a company with a mission aligned with my personal beliefs, morals, standards, and ethics. I have to admit --- that's super important to me. I've been a direct marketer and Brand Manager for many high-end brands --- and never felt so committed to a brand as I am here at Delta. And yes I mean that with ZERO exaggeration --- it TRULY is an absolute honor and privilege to work here --- I get to work for an organization that is committed to, and succeeding at, making a difference in our local community as well as on a national level. PLUS, I get to work with co-workers who not only exemplify our company values, but are also a lot of fun, respectful, considerate, and caring. As a remote employee, I really cherish how my co-workers keep me connected --- so being remote still feels like being at our GORGEOUS, no-expense-spared company headquarters in West Bend, WI. If you get the chance to see it, go and check it out. As far as salary and benefits, I feel they take good care of me and my co-workers. I'm not sure how much of those things I can share here --- let's just say if you get the chance to work here, you will be pleasantly surprised. As far as training opportunities, Delta is "growth-oriented." If you are willing to do the work, go the extra mile, and be assertive --- opportunities are there for the effort. Like anywhere else, it will be as great as you make it. If you are not results-driven, this may not be a good fit. But the fact you are here reading this speaks volumes about you as a potential hire here. If you are considering a role in the Delta Defense mission --- I wish you nothing but success and you are free to reach out to me anytime with questions. :-)

Cons

I really don't have any cons with Delta. And to be upfront --- if I did, I would not post them here. I'd do what the company encourages --- simply take the bull by the horns and come up with a positive, effective, and productive solution. We are also encouraged to respectfully, speak freely, share our feelings, and work with our teammates on productive solutions to all challenges. It's all what I make of it. And it's the same with everyone else. Like any workplace, challenges pop up. It's called "Life." It is what it is. Complaining, whining, and crying solves nothing. Action speaks louder than words here at Delta. This company is for results-driven people.
