Democracy Prep really takes care of their teachers. The network as a whole supports and trains us to be thoughtful leaders.

Cons

There aren’t Democracy Prep schools in the world. I really don’t have anything negative to say about this network! I really enjoy it here.

Pros

Children are hard workers and advocates for change within their communities. The staff works hard to set the expectation needed to be successful

Cons

The staff is generally small which ultimately leaves some challenges in the operations area but the intimate environment allows for more hands on coaching for scholars

Pros

There is a lot of support from admin and veteran teachers. All of the PDs are very informative and make me feel more confident as an educator.

Cons

Long hours. Lots of paperwork. Minimal breaks. It’s hard to get anything done with how late we get out. The home/work life balance is a major struggle.
