Pros

Learned a lot and met a lot of great people in my time here.

Cons

- Not many benefits, 401(k) plus match was eliminated at the start of Covid and never brought back. The health insurance is okay. Vacation time is only 10 days and you only get a few days for sick time. - Pay could be better. Upper management won't reward you for hard work or offer a raise when they inevitably give you more work to do, and generally the answer is no. You'll have to fight for better pay. - There's no work-life balance if you're not a manager. WFH is not an option if you're a lower level employee, but if you're in a management position you can come in whenever you want and WFH as much as you need. - Complete lack of communication between employees and upper management. You'll barely be kept in the loop about changes within the company or about your work performance. The environment is very close-minded and hush. - Upper management can be very unprofessional and condescending. They change meetings last minute, miss meetings, make you wait for them, don't communicate properly, and play favorites if you can get along with them - Lack of respect for employees health and safety. I've already mentioned that WFH is not an option, but this company also only allowed us to WFH for 2 months during lockdown and masks were barely a requirement.

Pros

Great people on the team, decently-sized lunch room, easy parking

Cons

You'll get laid off without prior notice and without severance. Want a future? Don't look here. They don't know how to run things properly.

You Are Better Off Elsewhere

Pros

A small handful of people that work there are some of the nicest people I've ever worked with.

Cons

Everything else, but I'll try to be more constructive: -Insultingly low pay: Base salary is well below industry standard and management will act indignant if you ask for anything more, even after they add more and more responsibilities to your role. "Bonuses" are discussed, but since employee turnover is so high, chances are you will be gone long before they ever have to make good on that particular promise. -Horrible upper management: The CEO is absolutely allergic to good ideas and seems to actively want the business to fail. Feedback is not listened to and any ideas for betterment are met with rejection, including long-term WFH and 401(K). There is an overall culture of disregarding employee health, it seems. To wit, most eComm businesses made the switch to remote work early into the pandemic and stayed there. DII gave employees maybe two months before they were forced back into the office while Covid was still surging. Any attempts at asking for remote work were quickly turned down (despite management working from home whenever they felt like it). Covid itself was continually scoffed at and tone-deaf communication from management belittled and ignored employee concerns. Employee health and safety is simply not a priority at DII. Poor employee treatment: -If it wasn't made abundantly clear by now, treatment of their employees ranks at the bottom of this company's priority list. The best example I can provide is that this company doesn't even have an HR department. Yes, you read that right. While grievances pile up, there's no actual official way to bring any of your problems to anyone who can do anything about it. Your only option is to talk to an immediate supervisor, but since they report to upper management who have already proven themselves not to care about much other than their own bottom line, this option proves completely fruitless. There's no accountability anywhere and it shows in how they treat their employees. I could keep going but I will stop there. Long story short, this company is not worth your time and you would be treated better almost anywhere else.
