Pros

Benefits start immediately. The bosses are all from the same country and she allowed us to speak our native tongue, making it easier for us to understand and communicate better as English is a 2nd language for us. The management was very accommodating with my schedule so that I can work a second job.

Cons

I noticed that even with all the extra work I am given to do, I am not recognized for it. I would like to move up but there is a lot of favoritism. For instance, one boss has an employee, also her BFF, obvious as they take all their vacations together and godmother of her kids. This employee is a bully to most of the coworkers and is given preferential treatment and influences a lot of the decisions to her advantage. Very unfair, but when complaints are made to HR, nothing gets done and goes against the person who complains when eval comes around. This has been going on for more than ten years. So forget about complaining to HR and look for opportunities elsewhere.

Pros

Most of the people you work with are usually nice, friendly, and very helpful. Hard workers in general. I worked in the hospital on the night shift and the nurses and other staff for the most part were nice and very helpful. You get exposed to a lot of different things, so you learn really fast. Most of the time its quiet until 0330am unless you work in the ER than your busy until 0230am. Best shift to work on in my opinion. The pay is great could use a big raise for the amount of work we are expected to do. But the benefits are even better.

Cons

Day shift is not as nice as Night shift. I guess because it's busier and people are just getting up, plus there is always traffic so most staff for the entire hospital are a little grumpy compared to Night shift staff. I loved almost everyone on the Night shift. Everyone except the management team. Our Supervisor was constantly WRONG in everything that she did. She would not take any advice or opinions from any one on her staff unless Dayshift said it was ok. Constantly yelling at us or telling us we did something wrong when she never informed us of any changes. We hardly ever heard from the Manager. But she received many complaints of our Supervisor and did nothing over 10+ years. And they have the oldest and worst point system, ever. You get a point for basically calling out for anything. They don't care if your kid just died, your mom, dad, brother etc. Don't matter if your sick either. And you can only lose 2 points a year.
