Pros

A lot of the people were fantastic to work with at DH! I really enjoyed the friendly banter while getting down to business and producing great work for clients all at the same time. I was fortunate to have a wonderful manager at DH! She was the best one I’ve had yet so far in my career! Despite some of these reviews, the account team I worked with was great and collaborative. Always felt my opinions were respected and disagreements were almost always handled in a collaborative manner.

Cons

Though I left for reasons outside of my career, I will say that it can be very difficult to be a PM at DH. Like any agency, there are a lot of personalities and processes between departments to manage and the PM team rarely gets any top down support from leadership. It’s usually the PM team against everyone else and the PM team is usually on the losing side on that conversation. And if it’s you (the PM) against a senior leadership favorite - forget it. It doesn’t matter how many deadlines that person has missed or how many times they ignored client feedback and requirements - your voice will never be heard over their voice.

Pros

Benefits are good. Location is good for an easy commute.

Cons

This is the worst job I have ever had. No sinks. You have to wash your fruit in the bathroom. There was a time where we had no drinking water for a couple of weeks. They depend on bullying their employees but this is dependent on which management team you have. Lots of office gossip. You are never left to manage a project on your own. Consistently being micro-managed. They don’t want to hear your opinions. Account managers make all the decisions and if they don’t like you then expect to be fired.

Pros

Intelligent and talented people working there. Good health insurance. While it was french owned there were many holidays and flex days.

Cons

The Creative Directors lead with an iron fist but are so far removed from the day to day that they make no sense. Often come in very late in the process with significant changes. All management have no issue making staff work around the clock to have highly finished comps. Overly detail orientated that they lose sight of the big picture. Middle management stretched too thin so cannot properly manage accounts and all are scared of the creative director. Too many middle managers/VPs/Creative directors on one project. No career development unless you're happy to be a slave to the CD. Whole agency is disorganized and terrible communication. No one gets back to you, and that is completely acceptable. Overly frustrating in all aspects. Creatively toxic.
