Pros

Views, bagels, coffee bar, bike room downstairs

Cons

I fee like a cell on a spreadsheet. Not a human being. My “value” is determined by the volume of work I can produce, as fast as possible, with the least resistance to account management or the client. Any suggestion I’ve made to improve the creative has been viewed as “attitude”. I’m not even equipped to do my job properly. They’ve taken away monitors for art directors in our neighborhood and there’s a 2 year waiting list for a new laptop. I’ve had 4 bosses in less than 2 years and all 4 of them have refused to give me a performance review even though I’ve done my part with our “review system”. If digitas doesn’t make performance reviews mandatory, then how can I possibly know how I’m doing if my managers refuse to use our “one to one tool”.

Pros

This is a great company if you're just out of school. You'll be given the title of "manager." They run the day-to-day business and get to judge the creative work. This company will find any excuse to throw a party! Their great perks are free drinks every couple of weeks and a nice, new coffee bar.

Cons

Most people I know haven't had a raise in at least two years. But we're under ridic pressure to keep putting in more time so the company can make more money. So Publicis gets richer and we burn out with no raises to show for it.

Pros

Salary and benefits are good

Cons

I'm curreny looking for another job and can't wait to leave Digitas as soon as I find one. I've suffered through over 2 years here and I'm shocked by what goes on behind the scenes that outsiders don't know about. The only way to succeed at Digitas is if you kiss the Executives' butts and don't disagree with anyone. To get promoted, as many have stated on their Glassdoor reviews, you have to kiss up to the right people and you are "in." I was pleased to recently have heard that the word is getting out about what a bad place it is to work. Equally disturbing is the HR department. I have stopped going to HR with concerns because they have been completely inappropriate and unprofessional. If they haven't had a huge lawsuit on their hands already, I'm sure they will very soon. I'm constantly hearing stories how employees walk by HR and hear the HR head talking badly about current or ex employees on a daily basis. This agency is bad news and I'm counting down the days until I can leave.
