Pros

Love working for this company. Great people, passion and products. Very open on their growth plans, how the company is moving forward. They put employees first with monthly meeting free day's and two weeks of recharge weeks for all employees to take off globally. Hybrid working model and a supportive culture of promoting team collaboration. Great induction programme and a wonderful new high rise glass office in the heart of Galway city.

Cons

Too early to note. Will update at a later stage

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your many years of service to Diligent. We’re happy to hear that you’re finding plenty of interesting challenges, helpful people and enjoying the product and flexible working arrangements. We are sorry, however, to hear your other feedback. As we continue to grow, we recognize that our increased scale can create challenges, but we’re committed to continuously improving. Diligent is always evolving, especially as we continue to integrate our recent acquisitions and bring in new team members. We are working to strike a balance between scaling our processes, our systems and the employee experience. To manage and align priorities, we’ve introduced tools like V2MOMs (our internal goal setting process) and we are encouraging management and team transparency and accountability through Town Halls, Launchpad (our Intranet) and designated Slack channels. If you have specific ideas on how we can improve in this area, we’d love to hear them, and we encourage you to share those with your manager or email hrconfidential@diligent.com. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts and for your service to Diligent! - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer

Pros

Seasoned Company, growing quickly mostly through acquisition. Many perks and celebrations. Generally positive attitude from most colleagues. Culture is generally positive, but requires much work/improvement.

Cons

Little trust in any subordinate to do what they are hired to do. Managers and Directors constantly contradict the experience of professional employees. The culture is more of a 'What will the person I report to accept?" rather than "What's the best/right solution for this problem?". This tends to continue up the chain and results in a "What would Brian (CEO) accept?". This slows down all processes. Almost every position is overworked, which means projects don't get initiated in a timely manner, resulting in all projects being rushed, which contributes to the chaos/overworked culture. Many are expected to work overtime and weekends to accomplish projects. The whole thing is cyclic and requires top down intervention. Senior management are always busy... this is a company that is meeting'd to death. I never felt I could approach a senior person, Director, VP, CEO, and have a candid conversation with them. Whereas at my previous company, all senior staff took time to walk with, and sit amongst, eat lunch with, and generally speak with employees on a day-to-day basis.

Thank you for your review. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the culture, perks and celebrations and the positive attitude of your colleagues. Our people are the beating heart of this organization and without them, we couldn’t make the huge impact that we do when it comes to governance. To the rest of your feedback, we're very sorry to hear that this was your experience at Diligent. It's clear that we could have done more to support you during your time with us. As we continue to grow our business after our recent acquisitions, we are working to evolve and invest in several areas you mentioned. Specifically, we are focused on streamlining and improving processes as well as empowering our colleagues to manage priorities through tools like V2MOMs (our internal goal setting process). Our monthly Town Halls, intranet, Slack Company News channels and regular email updates from ELT have all been designed to improve communications and transparency. However, we recently surveyed the entire organization to learn how they prefer to get communications. A combination of email and Slack came back as the main preferences, so we are actively realigning our communications to flow exclusively through Slack and email. Finally, it's our goal to integrate our solutions and teams as seamlessly as possible so we can bring our unified platform to market for our clients. Any complex integration process can present inherent challenges, but we’re laser focused on continuously improving. We don’t always get it right, but we work together as a team to evolve and move forward to meet our goals. Once again, I want to thank you for your service to Diligent. We appreciate your comments and will take them onboard as opportunities to improve. We wish you the best of luck moving forward. - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer
