Pros
Job is mostly enjoyable, but that's the only pro
Cons
The main con I have involves the lack of fairness in how employees are treated. I was hired in 2020 with extensive experience in customer service, two college degrees, and management experience. About 8 months after I was hired, Dillards began hiring people with far less experience, no college education, and no management experience at a higher wage than I received. I talked to management, and I was told they would not increase my pay to match the new hiring rate. This is very unfair and insulting. When I quit at my current wage, a new person will have to be hired. This person will be hired at an increased wage from what I make. Dillards will literally be wasting money and time hiring someone new, and they still will not increase my wage. This definitely says something about the incompetence of upper management at my store. I never thought I would work for a worse company than my previous job, but Dillards has somehow managed to easily surpass them as the worst company I have ever worked for. I would never recommend anyone even apply. This job is worthless and a waste of time considering employees are treated like they're nothing.
