Pros

Decent benefits, convenient commute, nice co-workers.

Cons

“Old Guard” has free reign, HR doesn’t support anyone but themselves, discriminatory practices are ignored (gender pay gap, ageist comments, sexist comments). If these things are reported you’re labeled a troublemaker right up to the C-suite. After many years I’m no longer confident things will change.

Pros

Benefits package but getting expensive every year. Employee stock options.

Cons

I have been with the company for 7 years. Every year it’s down hill. Upper management only cares about how much business accounts you bring in. A lot of turnover because of this. New branch managers doesn’t know how to run a branch. They pretend they are out on business calls and leave the branches to the assistants or sometimes just the staff. Meanwhile they wake up late and go home early. No one from HR or Upper Management checks on them and they get paid pretty nice salaries. They have very few loyal employees left but Upper Management looking to get rid of the old and replacing with new ones just for their book of business. Most times new manager does not bring anything to the table but good talk. The company was once a great place to work for but not anymore. I have never seen so many unhappy employees working at the same place. Run!!! They are not the employer of choice like they state they are!

Pros

The benefits at this company are great. If you are starting out in the financial industry this bank maybe the right place to learn and gain experience.

Cons

Nepotism. Senior Management is terrible and most need to be replaced. People are hired based on who they know. If you are meeting your sales goals you are favored, doesn’t matter if you cant manage and you treat your staff horrible. Managers are not required to work late nights or weekends which puts the strain on the staff. High turnover because of the lack of training during the first 30 days. HR supports senior management and managers. Complaints aren’t taken seriously. If you have an opinion or disagree you are labeled as difficult, having an attitude or a bad employee.
