Pros

*Directive is hands down the best organization I've ever worked for. Management has never personally asked me for this review and I intend to be as transparent as possible. One of the biggest pros is that we get paid learning time. Self-betterment and self-learning are encouraged here and I also feel like I have grown exponentially more figuring things out on my own. I was also given great training and learning resources to build a solid foundation of technical knowledge for my role. I've never once felt like I didn't have the support of my team members whenever questions or concerns arose. I was given an opportunity to work for this company because of my motivation to self-learn basic digital marketing concepts and fundamentals. Directive has taught me never to be complacent with my current knowledge and to continuously pushes me to be better. There are so many more pros. The biggest being the people who are super welcoming and non-exclusive. The office really does have a family vibe and the people are hilarious. Never have I seen any member of the team be disrespected or put down. There is absolutely no micro-managing from my many months of working here. It is completely the opposite. You are given complete freedom and flexibility to plan and execute new strategies and tactics. We track our productivity in order for us to be accountable for our own work. Hours are flexible and each team member trusts each other to hold their own weight. There are high expectations for every team member but that is to be expected. If you want to pursue Digital Marketing as a career, Directive is the perfect place to build your expertise. You will learn so much in a very short span of time. As with any company, if you are hungry and eager to learn and be better, you will do great here.

Cons

Losing in ping pong right before leaving the office.

Pros

- Amazing people work here - Snacks... when employees remind management & go to Costco to get themselves - Beer tap… but drinking is discouraged during work hours…? K. -Ping pong

Cons

*All 5 Star Reviews for Directive Consulting are by employees who have been with the company for less than a month & by request of the CEO* - Zero benefits of any kind - Must provide your own functioning laptop or don’t even think about working here - Management provides absolutely no training but expects new hires to know all processes & be experts in the industry - Have zero idea of what a "culture” is - Women have to deal with sexist and/or narcissist remarks on a regular basis - Huge frat boy clique - Every individual is over worked & drastically under-appreciated - Perks are nothing but fluff. No team bonding. No personal development. DON’T LET THEM FOOL YOU. No, a monitor is not a perk - Forced to track every minute of your day to ensure they are getting their full 8 hours out of you - Absolute chaos. CEO & COO are on two completely different pages on pretty much everything - Employees are belittled by management in front of the entire team - Management only knows how to motivate employees with the “get it done or else” method - Absolutely no work/life balance. You will hate life - The list goes on…..

Directive Response

Thank you for the feedback, we are so sorry that you have had a negative experience with us. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the people that work at Directive, some of the fun things we do, and the career opportunities we provide. As a growing company, we are definitely still figuring out aspects of our organization, and we're truly sorry if this has impacted you negatively in anyway. Currently we are working on a timeline and taking initiatives to implement more structure, increase our benefits program, and build a thriving workplace culture. This includes increased work/life balance, more direct appreciation of employees, team bonding, opening additional channels for communication, and a more efficient onboarding process for new hires. We have an "open ears" policy, and we want to know if employees are experiencing any form of discrimination from coworkers or the leadership. As an organization, we will not stand for this behavior and are deeply saddened that you experienced that in our office. As we daily listen and improve, we will take your feedback seriously and work to improve all aspects of the company.

Pros

Directive is growing fast, so it's a really wise place to get involved while the foundations are being built. Upbeat work environment Welcoming, encouraging environment The leadership works really hard, its encouraging to see that they are putting in their time to make this place great. Open space Forward thinking and fast paced People genuinely care about doing an excellent job Easy to make friends! The long term "office culture" vision is fantastic 24 hour fitness memberships cold brew ping pong

Cons

Naturally there are growing pains when things are moving this fast. Work load can be overwhelming at times, but the leadership is making huge efforts to spread the responsibilities. Vacation time is minimal, however, if you know you're getting in on the groundwork for something great, the long term makes up for it. No Health benefits... yet!!
