Pros

Learn a lot about the tech and staffing industry

Cons

Management has no idea what they are doing - pushy, mean, and overbearing. Do not properly train their workers and then throw them into placing roles they have no idea about

Pros

They give you a jump start to how the real world works. Pick you up out of college because you are eager to have a job. Gives you a good incite to the fast paced world outside of the safety net of college.

Cons

No trust within the company. An elaborate scam to benefit their own goals. If you take the job, start applying for others as soon as you start.

Pros

I came to Diversant with multiple years of experience working at two other staffing firms so my perspective is different than some of the other reviews I have read on this website. To me, Diversant has offered an incredible opportunity to recent college graduates. Opportunity that I would have died for when I was graduating college. The training is thorough - a balanced mix of formal and on the job. The pay is competitive - I have seen many people reference that we pay less than other staffing firms - having worked at one of our largest competitors, I can say that this isn't true. Our base salary is higher and so is our commission percentage. I think that what I like the most about our industry, many people dislike. This industry is only going to provide you with as much opportunity as you can go out and create for yourself. Staffing isn't new. It isn't rocket science. We work with the same pool of candidates that everyone else works with so those who separate themselves from the pack are the ones who work the hardest. The old cliche rings true about staffing - this job isn't for everyone. My advice for anyone who is considering working with Diversant is to keep the last statement in mind when making that decision. This job is tough. Any industry where there is a human being on each side of a transaction is going to be tough. People change their minds, people are irrational and this creates unique challenges in our market place. The people who I have personally seen become very successful in this industry, are able to brush that off and accept it as part of the business. The people who I have personally seen move on from staffing, both here at Diversant and at my previous two companies, and who were not successful, struggled with this fact. These people have moved on to be very successful in other fields and I still keep in touch with many of them. They all say the same thing - it was hard as hell when we were there but we learned so much. Keep an open mind when thinking about Diversant. You will learn life skills here, not just staffing skills.

Cons

This job can be very challenging and during the first year, many people face a tremendous amount of adversity. Candidates back out at the last minute, clients lose budget, etc. This is one of the major cons to staffing. Another 'con' to this job is that there is no guarantee of success in the long term. What I mean to say is that in spite of the training, the boot camps, the leadership development and the constant mentor-ship, some people will just simply not make it. Those who do make it refuse to accept failure and work through the adversity.
