Pros

Revolutionary product and market leader. I'd recommend DocuSign to a friend, but not if they are applying for a sales role.

Cons

I agree with the review from another Corporate Account Executive on Dec 6, 2013 - the sales quotas are very unreasonable (talented sales reps are only getting 60% to quota), it's a very bad comp plan, and nobody making any money except for the lucky few who sell to Banks and Credit Unions and to Wealth Management. You are told you will make $60,000 in base (which you do) and $60 in commission, but in reality, you will make 1/3 of that commission. And from what I can tell, despite the majority of reps (and there are many talented Account Executives) not hitting quota, it won't be lowered anytime soon.

Pros

eSignature is a great viral market

Cons

Those who have been in the trenches for years at DocuSign are left behind with every new VP hire. Honesty is a bad word. When it came time to pay or to admit mistakes, it became time to present a new comp plan, or shown the door. The sales management of the company is poor at best, the old line sales team and a few new commers are keeping the place going.

Thank you for your review. We've come a long way in two years and have brought in some very seasoned sales people. I think you'd find it a much different place today. And we hope you have landed in a good spot.

Pros

The compensation is good. Most of the people I worked with are great. The office has a good environment, provides plenty of snacks and drinks with a nice view of the bay bridge.

Cons

There was no work/life balance for me personally. It's what you can expect from a startup. I usually work till 11pm before I had to leave to catch my ride home. The company had suck the life out of me.

Thanks for writing this review. We have worked on the work/life balance and think you'd find it a different place today from when you wrote this review 2 years ago. Best of luck to you.
