Pros

There are some very good people working for the company.

Cons

The pay, benefits, hours are all terrible. No one cares about employee appreciation day when the employees get nothing except some muffins an doughnuts that are paid for out of the managers pocket. Cut the garbage about caring for the employees when it's basically slave labor. If you care about your employees show them you care, don't just pay them lip service. If you have a store and the ac has been broken for a few months don't tell me it takes a couple months to get an estimate to get it fixed or replacement that's because you don't want to spend the money on the units or your real estate department isn't working like it should be to press the building owners to get the job done. You can't expense water on hot truck days, you stay open during states of emergency, tornados, hurricanes and all kinds of poor weather. If you truly care about your employees BOB SASSER then for crying out loud SHOW IT!!!!!

Horrifying experience.

Pros

Easy to apply for - talk to the store manager. Make them laugh and don't let your nerves control you. Easy to get hired too.

Cons

You have to constantly check on your hiring status. They will say they hire you but the other managers won't even know so they will say the opposite. Don't expect to start the day they say you are going to.

Pros

Good for part time, good for working short term, The customers are okay(mostly welfare recipients or grannies)

Cons

No benefits, paid vacations, or holidays. Unreal expectations for cashiers. Being threaten to be fired if you'r over $3.00 or under $3.00, you must be 0.00 or at least 1 cent off after counting your till from register. And for some reason, Dollar Tree always seems to be under staffed. Either people are quitting, calling off, or not showing up to work at all....leaving you and a manager to do all of the work.
