Pros

The company spent quite a bunch of capital to build an ultra-modern state-of-the-art headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia...but does not believe in the same attitude towards its peripheral divisions.

Cons

Company does not adequately support peripheral companies that make-up the larger corporation. Company eliminates duplicate positions and does not realize that each market and the people there are unique. Company drastically reduces division budgets to make a profit but expects success with no real resources. Company trashes existing partnerships and relationships because it believes they have no intrinsic value. Company believes in the launch it, market it, develop it and correct "bugs" after its already in the market. Company is a "bottom-line" company and does not care about employees who do the necessary work. Company is interested in constantly looking for buyers and is not "long-term" focused. Company has no real focus, business plan, and when it contacts employees for ideas and suggestions simply goes through the motion to appease the casual observer.

Pros

New building, lots of businesses, close to downtown Norfolk.

Cons

The culture of human capital in which Dominion throws its people away is sickening. There is constantly a drive to perform without thought or meaningful resources applied to the development of it's staff. GM's are continually badgered to fire non-performing employees with out proper procedure, and the HR department is running scared. Please lord, let them sell this company so that a real operator can come on board and save the many good people who work there.
