Pros

Work from home is the only pro

Cons

If you would like to start medication because your mental health is deteriorating apply to become a Merchant Experience Partner. We are the dumping ground for all other cross-functional teams. We now do menu teams jobs, Drive teams jobs, POS systems jobs, Sales Jobs with little to no support. We do what an Account Owner does but with significantly less pay. The unlimited PTO is a joke, you have to know a year in advance what you're doing or else your request will be rejected. Leadership does not care they just care about what can get them a better salary or raise. We are constantly adding more and more things and wonder why our merchants are angry with the service we give them. Our greatest pain point is Proactive outreach most of the issues that are triggered is due to other teams yet we are the ones having to deal with the consequences .... Let us do our jobs and provide the "white glove" service we were told we were going to give. My mental health has been the worst it has ever been due to this job. We do what an AO does and get paid less. It's extremely disheartening and makes me feel like they are taking advantage of us. If you are applying for this position expect to stay late almost every day there is no work-life balance here and if you have kids .... forget about it completely they don't care.

Pros

- Great opportunities for newbies entering the workforce, especially after an MBA - Excellent benefits such as medical, constant swag, gym reimbursement, etc - Good compensation package especially for 20 year olds entering the workforce - MBAs valued, - Stock given to most levels

Cons

- Experience is not valued here. You have a bunch of younger people who were at the right place at the right time in director roles with no proper people management experience. - As much as it touts itself as a diverse company- in my experience I worked with a director who discriminated against women. Worst manager to ever work for. Also looked down on people that did not have MBAs. Apparently HR was in the know but yet this individual continues to work there. - No work life blend. They have unlimited PTO but the average PTO taken is probably no more than 12 days. Manager worked late into the night and expected you to do the same. Weekend working is also needed. Time consuming Tasks would come in on a Friday evening and asked to be completed by Monday.

Pros

Decent Benefits Unlimited PTO Decent Pay but no bonus pay or 401K matching

Cons

Horrible hiring structure. DoorDash intentionally inflates individuals titles so they can keep them. The compensation team is awful and they don’t even see the need for 401K match or annual bonuses. There responses when employees and recruiters complain is drafted by inexperience communications professionals that feel employees should be thankful, grateful, and entitled to work at DoorDash since the goal is to become the next Amazon. For someone reason DoorDash thinks they will be the next Amazon and that will only happen if they do an internal audit of all the current roles, and pay. For instance they have “senior managers” reporting into “senior managers” directors who are not qualified to actual be directors and recruiting managers and leads who can hire or meet quota inclusivity diversity quota at DoorDash or any other company. Hiring is a pure JOKE the recruiters are either under qualified or overworked forcing the company to spend multiple millions a year. Most VPs or Directors have over inflated titles and are not qualified to be in their role in comparison to the job description they were hired against. Nepotism and politics is extremely prevalent at this company. only at DoorDash. DoorDash is the company that you work at you if want an overinflated titled and couldn’t work anywhere else with that title and pay. DoorDash has potential to be great but they would have to do an internal pay, title, and level adult. Starting from top all the way down. They will need to be more competitive with pay and benefits as there’s are lower than the average tech company and lower then the company they are aspiring to be which is Amazon. Tony the CEO attempts to model the company after the Netflix CEO infrastructure but doesn’t seem to grasp it doesn’t work for every company especially not a company who serious internal infrastructure issues.
