Pros

The comp lines up well with other top companies.

Cons

Company is dishonest when it comes to their PTO policy. Sometimes promoting it as "unlimited", "flexible", "without limit". Just offer standard PTO with a max of 30 carryover days. That would actually be flexible. That would actually be honest. We currently have to get C-Level approval if a vacation uses more than 9 days. We also have to request more than 4 days of PTO a full quarter in advance. Insane. Upper leadership is full of ex-Uber loyalists that watch out for one another and use intimidation to maintain control. You won't find any anonymous surveys or feedback at DoorDash. They want the names of anyone who questions leadership. Engineering leadership actively calls people cowards if they don't want their name associated with a question. Great look.

Pros

Great compensation Very high bar of engineering and engineers. Its fun to work with the best. Company is doing well and so its exciting to be a part of it. The CEO is a visionary. Lots of scope to learn and grow with many internal programs offered. Great perks - lots of food, health benefits.

Cons

Be ready to work really really hard Be ready to expect very little appreciation in return. Growth for people within the company is limited under the pretext of high bar. Inclusivity is a joke. - There definitely is a bro gang from the same company there that thrive or counting few others who are in the inner circle. All the OGs are gone and the culture is definitely taking a dive.

Pros

They do have good PTO, maternity/paternity leave, 401k, bereavement, etc.

Cons

Pay is brutal. Education doesnt mean anything to them, it is all about who you know, not what you know or what you can bring to the table. The managers have no clue what they are doing, most are young kids fresh out of college with no experience. Sites are always down or broken. They laid off a ton of people last year, and secretly hired 20+ back on as "contingent workers" to avoid legal issues. They also posted the same positions they laid off for within two weeks prior to the lay offs. They like to pretend there are a bunch of opportunities, but it is like jumping through the ring of fire to move up. I have only gotten a 40 cent raise in 3 years! Not even a dollar. Would not recommend this company or their tactics at all.
