Pros

Work on the cutting edge of aerospace technology. Challening projects and opportunities for innovation. Flexible work hours, friendly culture. Excellent retirement benefits. Work with some of the most brilliant people in the industry.

Cons

Mentoring could be better, kind of a sink or swim environment. Not many options for advancement. High employee contribution to health care premium. Non profit ,so not many options for bonuses. Raises are low, unless you develop something like warp drive.

Pros

We get to work on amazing projects. Benefits are excellent (retirement plan: contribute 5%, they match 10%.) Don't like what you're working on now? Talk to somebody and work on their project. Don't like what anybody's working on? Get it funded and you can do it.

Cons

Not a particularly exciting place culturally. Advancement is borderline nonexistent. Started with a graduate degree in the mid-80s, but not expecting to get much in terms of raises or promotions ever.
