Pros

I feel that the work I do is impactful and makes a difference in people's lives. I also love my coworkers. Our entire team is very close and we always have each other's backs

Cons

Vacation and Short Term Disability Leave are disappointing. Everyone no matter experience level starts off with two weeks vacation and it takes years until you get that third week. I tried to negotiate more when hired but was denied. For women who are thinking about starting a family, I would think twice. It takes six years for an employee to accumulate 12 weeks of paid leave. There is no parental leave either. New mothers, expect to take unpaid time off while recovering. Expectation at the home office is that everyone arrives at 8:00 and leaves at 5:00. If you come in late or leave early, even with permission from your manager, people take notice and talk. Even with COVID, there is a stigma with working from home. Leadership still believes that if employees are not physically in the office, they are not working.

Pros

On the job training and hands on teaching Benefits aren't bad as far as milage is paid as well as good health benefits

Cons

Management is lacking and at the same time a few are micro-mangers to the tee. As a builder trainee you may get shoved into a builder position without review of pay or even proper knowledge on jobs you take over

Pros

Private builder that is close knit. Decent pay. Corporate executives and regional managers are very nice and easy to get along with. They do care about growing the company but lack the structure to do so.

Cons

Disorganized and trying to forcefully grow the company without fixing problems that the CEO himself presents every year. Some people who are picked to manage or move on in the management process lack essential skills that would weed them out anywhere else.
