Pros

Dropbox takes care of their employees and has a plethora of benefits both financially and mentally. They look for smart working employees that can really make a difference. I've been able to assist in making note-worthy changes within the company. It is a challenging job with a rewarding outcome. The flexibility of work for home is a great benefit for our work / life balance.

Cons

Staff team turnover can cause reorgs, however, I believe that is common for this industry.

Pros

Working at Dropbox has been an incredible experience. Starting as a new grad, I could not have asked for a more supportive environment. I've been inspired by our company values and consistently given the independence to drive and lead initiatives and projects throughout my time here. Additionally, Dropbox neighborhoods and our incredible ERGs have further enriched my experience and provided great mentorship and community opportunities. I've also greatly appreciated the flexibility that Virtual First provides.

Cons

While Virtual First provides a lot of flexibility, it's important to make time and be intentional when meeting people, as it may not happen as organically as in the office.

Pros

- Virtual first work culture has changed my life. I am more productive during the day and can easily collaborate with people across the world. It's totally evened out the playing field for folks not based in SF - Work life balance is better than any other tech company I've heard of. People respect your working hours and think through what collaborative work can be done async instead of live - The culture is phenomenal! You can reach out to folks across the company and know that they will try their best to help you. I have so many work friends who I actually keep up with regularly, and I know that they care about me as a person - Promotions are achievable within a reasonable time period vs. other tech companies requiring big stretches of years between promos

Cons

- We're still figuring out how to innovate beyond our core product of Dropbox. I am optimistic though about what we're working towards with AI offerings
