Pros

1) The People 2) The Projects 3) The People, yep, them again 4) The Tuckshop Compensation seems fair and training is offered when needed, but there are plenty of capable and helpful people to help you in areas you may need improvement with.

Cons

As with anywhere work/life balance can be difficult, but my manager frequently stresses to take off weekends. I've worked for several of the best startups, now public and Dropbox is competitive with all.

Pros

Great people with an awesome culture. Everyone I work with is extremely smart, capable and driven. Ownership comes with the territory, yet people don't get in the way of execution. Dropbox treats employees well and really provides a sense of meaningful work life/balance. It also doesn't hurt that the benefits are great and the food is amazing.

Cons

Some lack of organizational structure makes it hard to understand who does what. That being said, this hasn't interfered with getting things done because everyone tends to "own it". The company is now grown to a size where we have different areas for different employees (ie 2 levels in China Basin) which makes it hard to get to know people that are in different areas.

Pros

- awesome kitchen - flexible hours - can sometimes work remotely depending on your role

Cons

- It's unfortunate that the company changes so fast that your job description may change between when you sign your contract and start working. Makes us look bad for new hires. - we're starting to get big enough that the fun stuff is going away due to lack of office space.
