Pros

* friendly, intense, interesting people * founders are cool people * casual and open work environment, very large office * the product vision is world-changing and open-ended * lots of really challenging engineering problems * light management, lots of freedom

Cons

* due to the flatness of the organization and how much people care, people tend to argue about little things * lots of time is spent interviewing as we rapidly grow * the harshest and most necessary feedback can sometimes take a while before its delivered * even though i love the open floor office arrangement, it can sometimes be distracting

Pros

acceptable pay free food and drinks full health, vision, dental downtown SF office medium flexible hours

Cons

Some people who've been working here since the early days adhere to a hidden culture of elitism There is no real management, people with the most influence are way too young and unexperienced HR doesn't have a clue on how to get people attracted to our company We are extremely understaffed and can't hire the right people because some keep insisting we only hire 'the best of the best'. I've seen people with more experience and skills then me or my colleagues get turned away just because they weren't 'special' enough to our management. We can't grow this way like we need to and are sending excellent people to the competition
